DAVID FRYE

PADI MSDT INSTRUCTOR

PADI #231838

From an early age I have enjoyed being in, on, and around water. As a result, I have participated in many water related activities: competitive swimming, water polo, lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor, freediver, scuba diver, scuba instructor, and boat captain.

Soon after being certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, I found that I wasn't able to dive as often as I might like so I quickly took my continuing education classes of Enriched Air Nitrox, Advanced Open Water, and Rescue diver. I still wasn’t diving enough and that had me dreaming about the future and how to dive more often.

The plan I came up with involved becoming a Divemaster and then a scuba instructor in order to live and teach abroad. As that plan was realized, I spent two years traveling and working in Thailand, Hawaii, the Bahamas, and the Florida Keys before landing in the British Virgin Islands for about 18 months, and then another year in Hawaii.

Having had the opportunity to dive in all kinds of conditions and locations, work with all types of students and dive professionals, try different types of gear, and experience several cultures around the world, I feel that I have a unique insight into the underwater world.

I look forward to having you join me in the classroom, pool, or open water environment for your next scuba course so I may share some of these experiences with you.
